We have got black color model for the review. However, Q2 is also available in white color.
Display
The model have got 4-Inch IPS display which can produce result up to 233PPI – which we believe is best-in-class and currently no other smartphone manufacturer provides in India. Viewing angle is super sharp and up to 172 degree thanks to IPS display. Surprisingly, company offers 180 days touch screen protection for the indian customers, wherein if the touch screen got damage because of any reason, you can approach the company and they replace the same without any cost.
Processor & Other Under-the-hood
Q2 is powered by 1.3GHz Quad Core Processor (SoC) and that is the wonder point of the model. During our testing we have not seen the model lagging behind while playing 3D HD games and the phone was producing good color output and graphics were quite live like highend devices thanks to the 450GPU processor in-side the phone.
The model is having 8GB ROM which actually transfers your app to the phone memory (you can even transfer the same to your SD Card – up to 32GB) and 512MB RAM helps to ensure that your phone don’t get tired when doing multi-tasking for you.
Battery
The phone have successfully delivered 8 Hours talktime on 3G network and about 11 Hours talktime on 2G network. If we consider moderate usage of all functions like 3G based internet browsing, music and video playback, talk time – the phone have performed very decent and lasted for full 23 hours without any charge.
Camera
The phone have got 5MP Rear camera with Flash and actually produces good results like other high end phones. Color reproduction tests shows that the phone can identify as many as 16million colors. The camera software is superb – it comes with different settings which are actually not available in any other low-end smartphones. It have also got date mention – you can put date on every picture and you have your memories lifetime. The phone have also got 2MP Front Camera which are ideal for selifies. You can even direct go to camera from the lock screen. There is dedicated swipe for camera.
Gesture Controls
We have immediately became fan of this model once we have spotted Gesture Controls inside the phone. We don’t understand why company is not promoting or highlighting in their product listing on e-commerce sites. You can assign as many as 13 different phone functions with dedicated gesture controls. You actually dont need to juggle inside menu. All you need to do is to perform the gesture, even if the phone is locked – and your favorite function will be right there on the screen.
Entertainment Options
The phone have got FM Recorder, FM Radio and dedicated media player which can create various play lists as per your wish and choices.
Language Options
You can choose 8 different Indian vernacular language as system language. So, even if someone is not so good with English, will feel ease to operate the phone. The phone comes with Swalekh Keyboard where you can type in English but the output will be in your preferred Indian language. Currently, the phone supports 18 different languages. Q2 can also translate your contact book in your preferred language, supporting 12 Indian vernacular languages.
