We have just learned that Gionee is planning for a new Phablet series phone – M5 Plus. As per the various reports, M5 Plus have recently been spotted at Chinese regulator TENNA.
The leaked information suggest M5 Plus to carry the below mentioned specifications.
- 6-Inch Full AMOLED Screen
- Mediatek 6753 Processor
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB ROM (Internal Memory) – expandable to 128GB
- Android Lollipop
- 13MP Rear Camera
- 5MP Front Camera
- Huge 5,020 mAh Battery
The phone is expected to support 4G LTE and will come with Dual-Sim slots. OTG is also been confirmed for the model.
However, there is no separate announcement made for Indian market launch and pricing. We are expecting model to launch during January 2016 first in China market and later on it may follow to other Asian countries.
Gionee India is struggling to maintain their market share which have seen erosion in sales post entry of Coolpad, Xiaomi in India. Once Gionee have taken Indian market by storm in Year 2014. However, Year 2015 have proved quite bad for the company.
